About Lucinda

I first became interested in acupuncture in 1997 after it helped with my own digestive health problems. Inspired by this system of healing I trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine for four years at the Northern College of Acupuncture, one of the foremost educational and research institutions for acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the UK, qualifying  in 2004. I also completed a 12 month patent herbs course at College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading whilst on maternity leave with my first child.

I’m  a member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC), which is a registering body for professional acupuncturists that maintains high standards of education, ethics, discipline and practice. As a member of the BAcC, I abide by their Codes of Safe Practice Professional Conduct and comply with current health and safety regulations in order to provide the highest standards of care.

I’m covered via the BAcC by full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance and regularly update my skills by way of Continued Professional Development (CPD) programmes and maintenance of a personal and professional development portfolio.
